Macaulay up for Muirfield

CALLUM Macaulay is confident Scotland's amateurs can use the feel-good factor of a weekend of success to their advantage in the Home Internationals, which get underway today at Muirfield.
The Scottish champion from Tulliallan heads into the annual contest on a high after holing the winning putt for GB&I in the St Andrews Trophy on Saturday while his countryman, Wallace Booth, also starred in the match against Europe at Kingsbarns with four wins out of four.
The players line up against European champions Ireland in the opening match of the four-cornered event which also features Wales and title-holders England, and Macaulay, 24, said: "The four of us enjoyed a really good weekend and hopefully the rest of the team can feed off our success in the Home Internationals.
"There is a great chemistry in this side. We are all on form at the moment and we have the ability and the self-belief to do well.
"A few of us might be turning pro later this year and this could be our last Home Internationals. We will want to go out on a high."
