A LAST-MINUTE try from Edinburgh Accies' second row Mason Pike gave them a thrilling 29-25 win over Stirling County yesterday.
Accies got off to a flying start and built up a ten-point lead in the first 15 minutes. Stand-off Alex Blair scored all of those points with a superb solo try, a penalty and a conversion.

With County duo Brian Archibald and Graham Calder spending time in the sin bin, Accies then extended their lead to 17-3, skipper Dan Teague scoring their second try four minutes before the break.

However, County came storming back with a try either side of half time to turn the game on its head. Firstly, back-row Craig Deacons went over in the 39th minute and then full-back Robbie McGowan scored a great solo effort after the break to tie the game at 17-17. Accies then fell behind for the first time when winger Graham Lindsay went over for County's third try. The lead only lasted eight minutes, though, as prop Lewis Niven scored for the home side, converted by Blair, before Pike's dramatic try won it for Accies at the death.
