FIFER Jonathan Adam stepped up his bid to retain the Seat Cupra Championship when he dominated the latest rounds at Oulton Park in Cheshire by claiming his second successive double victory.
The talented youngster from Kirkcaldy, who won the championship last season, dominated the weekend starting both races from pole position and leading from start to finish to harvest maximum points in his title defence.

"The car was absolutely perfect right through the weekend," said Adam.

"There's plenty of time in the season for me to close the gap further. We now head to my home circuit at Knockhill for the next round, so that should help me further."

Adam beat current championship leader Robert Lawson into second place by 9.508secs and 4.526s.

Fellow Fifer Gordon Shedden powered his Team Halfords Honda Civic to victory in the final British Touring Car Championship race.
