A LAUNCH party is set to take place to celebrate a rugby festival in the Capital.
The Golden Oldies Rugby event, which brings together 3000 players from around the world, will open on Monday with a parade from the Castle to Middle Meadow Walk.

The 17th Air New Zealand Golden Oldies World Rugby Festival will last for a week and features 121 teams from 18 countries.

At the opening ceremony popular figures, including Scotland legend Gavin Hastings, will make speeches at Murrayfield.

Among the teams participating will be the Edinburgh-based Crusaders, who were formed by John Munro in a bid to raise money and awareness for cancer research.
